Evan Fraser
Evan Fraser is a Documentary Studies & Production major at Ithaca College with a minor in Anthropology, specializing in visual storytelling that bridges sports media, documentary film, and journalism.
His passion for photography began at age 11 while apprenticing with a local photographer in New York’s Hudson Valley. By high school, he had become a central figure in his school’s Athletics Department, coordinating sports media and producing content closely with the lacrosse program. This foundation led to collaborations with travel teams and universities, establishing a strong background in sports photography and media production.
At Ithaca College, Evan continues to develop his sports media skills as a member of the Athletics Creative Media Team, while his coursework and projects in documentary studies expand his experience in journalistic and long-form storytelling. Proficient in photography, videography, and editing, he has produced media content for schools, athletic programs, and universities, working collaboratively with athletes, coaches, and creative teams to bring stories to life.
Beyond athletics, his work extends into outdoor and cultural narratives, with experience photographing across U.S. National Parks and on expeditions such as the John Muir Trail. His career interests lie at the intersection of documentary filmmaking, sports media, and outdoor adventure storytelling, drawing inspiration from outlets such as ESPN Films and National Geographic. With a strong foundation in both journalistic and creative production, Evan is committed to telling stories that connect people, culture, and the natural world.
